What is shamanism?

Shamanism is an ancient healing tradition.  It is a system of healing based on spiritual practices that originated in tribal cultures.  A shamanic practitioner/Shaman is a healer that uses different techniques to help, support and guide healing to the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual parts of the client.   Some of the different techniques used are:

Chakra cleansing

Black and white stone healing

Smudging – cleansing and releasing heavy energies

Illumination – illuminating chakras clearing and releasing negative, heavy energies

Past life illumination – releasing imprints from past lives that impact this lifetime

Soul retrievals – connecting lost soul parts back to the client

Journeying – a form of guided meditation where the client journeys for power animals or what they hope for in this lifetime

Despachos – creating a mandela of different items to release or to bring in.

Contract breaking – releasing soul contracts that no longer serve the client

What a client should expect from a shamanic healing?

The client and practitioner will discuss what has brought the client for healing.  The practitioner will be guided to a particular healing.  This will usually mean the client will lay on the therapy bed whilst the practitioner works.  The client and practitioner will work together to bring about the healing needed.  This not a fix and it is important that the client understands that the work continues when the session is over.  Often the practitioner will give homework to continue the work completed in the session.

What is shamanic counselling?

Shamanic counselling is using both shamanic healing and counselling.  The session will begin with counselling and the practitioner will use shamanic techniques where needed.  I have found that the shamanic work will happen near the end of the session.

What is Reiki?

Reiki” (ray-key) is Japanese for ‘universal life energy, and is also a word used to describe a system of natural healing, This tradition was founded by Mikao Usui in the early 20th century and evolved as a result of his research, experience and dedication.

We live in a world of energy that nourishes and maintains all living things. When this energy flows uninterrupted there is balance and harmony within and around us, and we experience a sense of well-being.  Reiki can help the body emotionally or spiritually to come into balance and feel a sense of well-being.  It is a tradition that is open to any belief system.

What to expect in a Reiki healing session?

The method of receiving Reiki is simple. The recipient remains clothed and lies on a couch or sits on a chair and relaxes. The practitioner gently places their hands in a series of non-intrusive positions on or near the body. There is no massage or manipulation. The whole person is treated rather than specific areas. Sessions can take 50 minutes – 1 hour, depending on the client’s needs.

Reiki practitioners are not trained in diagnosis and will not predict any specific outcome from treatment. If people are concerned about their symptoms they should see a doctor.

What is Rahanni?

Rahanni is a 5th dimensional healing modality that works on a high vibration giving a deeper level of healing. It raises the vibration of the individual to a much higher level of spiritual understanding, expanding the aura and helping with a change in consciousness.

What to expect in a Rahanni healing session?

The client will be asked to lay on the couch fully clothed and relax, with any spectacles and outdoor shoes removed.  The room will have calming music and candles to create a relaxing atmosphere.

The client will be made fully aware, of what they may, or may not experience in a session. The client may feel hands placed on their body in addition to the practitioners. Clients may feel sensations of heat, waves of energy or see colours. Clients may feel emotional and a sense of release. Some may feel relaxed and sleepy, whereas other clients may experience a more physical session or nothing at all. Every healing session is different. There is no wrong or right to how a client should feel.
